I don't have any bird stories now, but there are lots of bugs waking up or flying out of a larval state or whatever causes them to suddenly be buzzing around my head while running. These giant horsefly looking things (I don't know my insects well) would orbit my head and then land in my hair, I'm not sure what was enticing about it, but as soon as I got home yesterday I shaved my hair off. Try to nest on my head now. Other than that I don't really mind crawlies and buzzies. I run through spider webs all the time and have kind of gotten used to having a contrail of webs dangling off me and their former occupants confusedly scurrying around on my back.
I've also been using a lot of this:
I've gotten paranoid about UVs the last few summers, and the "natural" sunblock at least has a few less long chemical names in the ingredients list, so there you go.
It's supposed to rain and cool off in the next few days. That is fine with me if anyone's looking for opinions.
