I can't run all the time, so I was on the elliptical today. There's a good set of them at the NCSU rec. I am able to get them to about 220 rpm before they start coming apart, so I can do a decent amount of impact-free work on them. I have to admit that I have always got my iPod on when I'm on the machine. It's a brand of boring that I haven't learned to deal with too well. After that, I headed out to the big rec field and ran a mile and a half barefoot on the grass and did some yoga/pilates/core stuff. I intend to get my barefoot distance up some, and my shoe selection simpler over the coming days.
