It's another pre-marathon week blog update.
Everything was cool until today. I've been on edge from tapering, and thinking about just posting some insane sounding stream of consciousness mess as a blog post, but have, as yet, held back. I have not held back however, from using lots of commas.
This week will undoubtedly be full of horrible dreams about getting lost while the course winds through a building for some reason (I always have this one) and one that predicts my time. I actually have already had that one. I ran 2:17 in that dream. Last year I dreamed before Chicago that I'd wind up at 2:22, and I ran 2:21:50. SPOOKY.
A key element to surviving this week is distraction. Luckily I'll be keeping a somewhat normal work schedule, until the end of the week, when I will likely start to freak out about all the little stuff and check the weather every 20 minutes or so. I will probably also clean our awful little apartment several times.
Please come out to cheer for me -
