I realized that I don't post anymore unless I've recently run a race. So, I'll post even though I'm not racing this weekend.

..........I have no ideas......

Oh right - USATF National Champs are this weekend! I know a few people that will be running there. In concerted effort to not be a name-dropper, I will not name-drop them. Just know that know important people. You are impressed?

The first race is tonight, at 10:40 EST - the mens' 10k, which should be one of the most exciting races of the entire meet. I'm pretty sure you can watch it at flotrack live tonight. I will personally guarantee that it will not be shown during normal TV coverage on Saturday (on NBC I believe). Can you imagine anyone other than a distance runner watching skinny guys run around a track for nearly half an hour? What has NASCAR figured out that we haven't? noise? booze? I've drank whiskey at a track meet and it didn't really enhance the experience. I'll be thoroughly entertained notwithstanding.

The rest of the meet is Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I am pretty sure the 5k is Friday night and the 1500 is Saturday. I'll give you some predictions:

10k - Galen Rupp is going to win - it's just going to happen, take it like a man. Hang in there Bobby!
5k - Nobody can mess with Bernard Lagat - I just hope they don't televise his kid screaming again. I hope the race goes fast so the NCSU guys can drop a good time.
1500 - Andrew Wheating probably, but I'd like to see Russell Brown shake it up some. This race is the harder one to call. I'm pulling for Rob Myers to make the squad - he's a farmboy. Or David Torrence, just because of his smack talk on Ryan Hall at the road mile, which was hilarious.
800 - Nick Symmonds has done this a lot, but everyone's pulling for Robby Andrews - I'm rooting for Khadevis, just because he's gotten a lot of crap, and nobody seems to really like him. I don't know him at all, so I won't judge you KD.

I don't know the women's races as well, I don't think that makes me a chauvinist though. I'm more interested in the races that I dream of being in (Hey, you never know), but I probably won't be taking on Shalane Flanagan anytime soon (I can beat her). Plus, I don't know the field as well, so I'd be talking out of my *%$#.

So, about a week and a half until Peachtree, and nothing has broken yet. My shin feels like it's getting a stress reaction or something. Maybe I'm just paranoid. Ok, that's it - I'm not good with endings.
