So today I ran 36 miles. I decided I should do about half on the pavement, since my marathon in a month is all paved. I took off for the greenway to North Raleigh and then came back down to the Schenk forest, filled up with some metalic, protozoa laden water, and got down into the trails. Trish drove to the park, so I stopped and got some munchies at the car. A couple old dudes were eyeing me, and asked me what I was doing (I was re-coating myself with sunblock and was wearing just shorts and my legs were covered with mud) they recommended I run the JFK 50 miler. Maybe I will. I got back down to my favorite trail (Cedar Ridge) and got to do some splashing at the awesome water crossing. I can't wait to get to do a run at Pillsbury Crossing back in Pott Co. I got back on Turkey Creek Trail and started heading back up. The last 5 miles or so were kind of rough, but I got back and loaded up the ice tub and pounded some Endurox. I should be good to go. I think I'll just go for a swim tomorrow though.
